The nearest International airport is Paphos Airport -- about
20 minutes drive away. There are frequent, direct flights from UK. The
chief scheduled airlines serving Paphos are: Cyprus Airways
and British Airways. There are
also services by smaller, semi-charter airlines such as
First Choice Thompson. Most
flights are from London, including Luton. There are less
frequent flights from regional British airports and from the main European centers. Some European airlines offer cheap deals with an interchange in
their local hub (e.g. Czech airlines with a changeover in Prague). We advise
guests to rent a car at
the airport for the duration of their stay. If not, a target, daytime taxi
fare to the flat is Euro 25 (about GB£ 16.50) plus 15% VAT and 10% tip. An alternative to Paphos is Larnaka Airport which is about 90 minutes drive away. Larnaka is the main International airport for Cyprus and so has the advantage of an even greater variety of flights including those that fly to Paphos. There is motorway all the way from Larnaka airport to Paphos. The target, daytime taxi fare is Euro 70 (GB£ 50) plus 15% VAT plus 10% tip. Airlines offer competitive rates, but expect fares to be higher if you book late and in high season (June to September. A target early-booker fare is around GB£ 150 per adult round trip including all taxes. There are many online scanning agents.
